AvePoint to Join S&P SmallCap 600 Index in November
AvePoint will replace LXP Industrial Trust in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective Nov. 2, following LXP's pending acquisition.
AvePoint Inc. (NASDAQ: AVPT) is set to join the S&P SmallCap 600 index, replacing LXP Industrial Trust (NYSE: LXP) when markets open on Monday, November 2, according to an announcement dated October 27.
LXP Industrial Trust is being removed from the index because Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board are in the process of acquiring the company, making it ineligible for continued inclusion under standard index criteria.

Index additions of this nature typically trigger buying activity from passive funds and exchange-traded funds that track the S&P SmallCap 600, as portfolio managers adjust holdings to mirror the updated benchmark composition.
