Berlin Court Blocks Law Firm's Fraud Claims Against Xryma Plc
A Berlin regional court granted Xryma Plc an injunction barring Schirp law firm from repeating contested statements linking the company to investment fraud.
A Berlin regional court has issued an injunction preventing the Schirp law firm from publishing statements that Xryma Plc says falsely connected the Cyprus-based company to investment fraud and money laundering, according to an announcement released September 24, 2026.
The Regional Court Berlin II sided with Xryma Plc on the majority of the challenged statements, finding that Schirp had failed to give the company an opportunity to respond before making its accusations public. The court's ruling reflects a procedural standard in German defamation law that generally requires a party to seek a right of reply before broadcasting potentially damaging allegations.

Xryma Plc, headquartered in Nicosia, Cyprus, contested statements that it said tied the firm to the collapsed cannabis investment platform known as "Juicy Fields." The company did not detail in its announcement the full scope of claims Schirp had made, but characterized them as false and reputationally harmful.
The injunction does not constitute a final judgment on the underlying dispute but prevents Schirp from repeating the blocked statements while litigation continues. Such interim orders in German civil courts are intended to preserve the legal status quo and can be challenged by the restrained party. The case highlights the legal risks law firms face when publicly naming third parties in connection with alleged financial misconduct before formal proceedings conclude.
