Diebold Nixdorf, Euronet to Partner on Global ATM Network Overhaul
The two firms plan to combine ATM hardware, field services, and processing technology to help banks boost efficiency and self-service capabilities.
Diebold Nixdorf and Euronet Worldwide have announced plans to form a strategic global collaboration aimed at modernizing ATM infrastructure for financial institutions worldwide, the companies said. The partnership pairs Diebold Nixdorf's cash recycling ATM hardware and international field service operations with Euronet's Ren processing platform and established ATM network management expertise.
The alliance is designed to give banks and other financial institutions a more integrated toolkit for improving operational efficiency, expanding self-service banking options for customers, and unlocking new revenue streams. Cash recycling technology, which allows ATMs to accept deposited cash and redistribute it for withdrawals, is central to the value proposition being offered under the arrangement.

The collaboration reflects broader industry pressure on financial institutions to reduce the cost of cash handling while maintaining robust physical banking access. Terms of the agreement, including financial arrangements or a formal launch timeline, were not disclosed in the initial announcement. Both companies indicated the collaboration is intended to serve financial institution clients across multiple international markets, leveraging each firm's existing geographic presence to extend reach.
