Lazard Finalizes Campbell Lutyens Deal, Launches Lazard CL Unit
Lazard completes its acquisition of Campbell Lutyens and unveils Lazard CL, positioning the combined firm as a global private capital advisory leader.
Lazard, Inc. has completed its acquisition of Campbell Lutyens and simultaneously launched a new combined entity called Lazard CL, the company announced November 2, 2026. The New York- and London-based financial advisory firm described the new unit as the global leader in private capital advisory, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in the fast-growing private markets sector.
The transaction was first disclosed on April 30, 2026, and has now closed after a roughly six-month review and integration period. By folding Campbell Lutyens — a specialist private capital advisory and placement firm — into its operations, Lazard is signaling an aggressive push to capture a larger share of the private equity, infrastructure, and private credit fundraising markets that have drawn increasing institutional interest in recent years.

The creation of Lazard CL represents one of the more notable consolidation moves in the private capital advisory space, where a handful of established boutiques and bulge-bracket affiliates compete for mandates from general partners seeking to raise funds from pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional allocators. The combined platform is expected to offer clients broader geographic reach and a deeper bench of advisory talent across both firms.
Lazard trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol LAZ. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the announcement.
