Tamkeen, EY MENA Sign Deal to Open Talent Hub in Bahrain
Bahrain's Labour Fund Tamkeen and EY MENA inked an MoU at Gateway Gulf 2026 to establish a regional talent hub and create 125 jobs.
Bahrain's Labour Fund, known as Tamkeen, announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with EY MENA on the sidelines of the Gateway Gulf 2026 conference, targeting the establishment of a dedicated EY Talent Hub within the kingdom. The agreement signals a concerted push by Bahrain to position itself as a hub for professional services talent across the broader Middle East and North Africa region.
Under the terms of the MoU, the planned talent hub is expected to generate 125 jobs once operational, with the facility designed to serve EY's workforce needs across the MENA region. The initiative aligns with Tamkeen's broader mandate to develop Bahrain's labor market and expand private-sector employment opportunities for the kingdom's residents.

Gateway Gulf, one of the region's prominent investment and business forums, provided the backdrop for the announcement, underscoring Bahrain's ongoing efforts to attract multinational professional services firms and cement its status as a competitive financial and business services destination in the Gulf. The partnership with a global firm of EY's scale is seen as a marker of that ambition.
The move reflects a wider trend of major international firms establishing regional delivery and talent centers in Gulf Cooperation Council states, drawn by government incentives, relatively low operating costs, and growing pools of skilled local graduates. Bahrain's relatively open labor policies and Tamkeen's co-investment programs have made it an increasingly attractive option for firms weighing regional footprint decisions.
