Monolith and Ascend Team Up on Institutional Commodity Derivatives
The two firms are combining perpetual futures tech with clearing infrastructure to serve institutional players in US commodity derivatives markets.
Monolith and Ascend have announced a strategic partnership aimed at constructing a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for institutional commodity derivatives in the United States, the companies said Monday. The collaboration is designed to bridge the gap between real-world asset exposure and the infrastructure required to trade and clear those positions at an institutional scale.
At the core of the arrangement is Monolith's perpetual futures architecture, which the firm has engineered for high-performance trading environments, paired with Ascend's clearing infrastructure. Together, the companies say the combined platform will allow eligible real-world assets to be deployed productively within institutional derivatives markets rather than sitting idle.

While specific financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed, both firms indicated the solution is targeted at eligible institutions operating within US regulatory frameworks. The announcement signals growing momentum among infrastructure providers racing to capture institutional flow as commodity derivatives markets continue to evolve.
